ABOUT THE RUN/WALK

The Brier Island Lighthouse Run/Walk was started in 2018 with a simple motivation - to bring attention to initiatives in the community. This year, and each subsequent year, 100% of the proceeds from the run go towards supporting the community, and to bring people closer together.

This year, we are supporting BITS (Brier Island Trails Society), a society focused on improving trails and constructing new ones. Currently, BITS is building a boardwalk through Big Meadow Bog, opening access to a rare and interesting flower, the Eastern Mountain Aven, as well as a great variety of birds, insects, and plants.
